Alice Wainwright

Alice Wainwright Park is a coastal park in Miami that underwent a major shoreline and access improvement for resilience. Phase 1 of the project (completed 2021) created a new ADA-accessible baywalk along Biscayne Bay using Organic-Lock Stabilized Aggregate (OLSA). The stabilized aggregate pathway spans roughly 33,000 square feet along the rebuilt seawall, allowing storm surge water to drain through while providing a firm, wheelchair-friendly surface. This natural-looking, permeable trail connects the community with the waterfront, reducing erosion and blending into the park’s tropical shoreline setting.
