Auckland Zoo’s upgrades have included the use of Organic-Lock Stabilized Aggregate for visitor pathways within new exhibit zones. In the Southeast Asia Jungle Track (opened 2021), OLSA was applied to footpaths winding through lush habitats, giving them a compacted earth look. The stabilized aggregate paths support strollers, wheelchairs, and service vehicles while remaining permeable to the region’s frequent rain. This prevents puddling and mud and helps protect adjacent enclosures from runoff.
