The Montreal Botanical Garden has incorporated Organic-Lock Stabilized Aggregate in select visitor pathways to improve accessibility and sustainability. A major route through a thematic garden was rebuilt with OLSA, providing a compacted gravel surface that is firm underfoot yet blends with the naturalistic planting beds. The stabilized aggregate stands up to Montreal’s freeze–thaw cycles and heavy tourist use, remaining stable and free of ruts. During rains, these paths allow water to infiltrate the soil rather than sheeting off, protecting delicate garden areas.
