Redwood Square is the signature public plaza of Sunnyvale’s CityLine redevelopment, opened in phases with public access by late 2024. The design by Bionic preserved a heritage grove of century-old redwood trees at the plaza’s core. Organic-Lock Stabilized Aggregate (Tan Decomposed Granite) was chosen for the network of paths winding through and around the redwood grove. Approximately 100 tons of stabilized aggregate were installed, supplied through a local dealer (Wheeler Zamaroni).
