At the University of Notre Dame, Organic-Lock Stabilized Aggregate was used to restore and enhance the Charles B. Hayes Family Sculpture Park – a formerly underutilized 8-acre site transformed into a naturalized sculpture garden. Completed in 2017, the design by Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates features winding American Heritage colored gravel pathways stabilized with Organic-Lock to meet several key needs. The OLSA paths complement the native prairie plantings and spiritual character of the park, appearing as if they’ve always belonged in the landscape. They are fully accessible and durable through four-season Midwest conditions without erosion.
