Vanderbilt University’s campus, designated as an arboretum, added Organic-Lock Stabilized Aggregate paths as part of a landscape improvement. The OLSA was used to create a new walkway that winds through trees and gardens near an academic quad. This stabilized aggregate path provides a natural appearance consistent with Vanderbilt’s park-like campus while delivering a stable, accessible surface. In Nashville’s climate, the permeable path performs well—draining stormwater during heavy rains and preventing erosion on slight slopes.
